Farewell to our amazing postdoc Halena, who got our pyruvate kinase studies off the ground.

We say farewell to our postdoctoral fellow Halena VanDeusen. Halena is moving with her fiancé to the Twin Cities, where she has accepted a position in Dr. Justin Drake’s cancer biology lab. In her short time in the lab, Halena was awarded an ADA postdoctoral fellowship, and published two co-author papers in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Halena was instrumental in getting our R01 award, and in mentoring new graduate students in the lab. We will miss you!
