SOFTWARE

Here at the merrins lab we believe in software sharing in the spirit of collaboration and furthering scientific inquiry.

Oscillation Analysis Software

The merrins lab Oscillation Analysis Software is a MATLAB script capable of detrending Islet Oscillations and calculating a number of oscillation parameters. These include the plateau fraction, amplitude, average baseline, average peak, oscillation average, and ER calcium fraction. These parameters can be calculated for the optical reporters Fura Red measuring calcium levels, the Perceval sensor which measures the ratio of ATP to ADP, and the Laconic sensor which measures lactic acid levels.  Download Zip folder or individual files today!

Phasor Histogram Analysis for FLIM Images

The Merrins lab Phasor Histogram Analysis for FLIM Images converts the decay curves for each pixel of ".sdt" files captured by NAD(P)H FLIM into lifetimes via a Fourier transform. These values are then used to make a histogram of the combined lifetimes from the image. The histogram can further be separated into the mitochondrialcytosolic, and nuclear of the components of the image via thresholding. This allows the user to determine relative values of NAD(P)H that is bound to other proteins or free in each compartment or the entire cell. Download Zip folder or individual files today!
